Where do dogs eat out in Melbourne? My Dog Café Dismantled

I ask that question because My Dog Cafe on the Station Pier, Port Melbourne, has closed.
I still get a number of hits to 'My Dog Cafe - Dogs Eating Out' I wrote this post back in March last year. It is time to up-date. The cafe has gone.

This is how the area and the cute building looks now - not a sign that it was once a cafe.

This is what it looked like in March 2008 -an interesting place to visit.

I have enjoyed many a coffee and snack there in the company of various dogs. I loved being on the water and I always admired the drink bowl fountain. Sadly that has gone too.

So where do dogs eat out in Melbourne? If you know please tell.

It's a fun way to end an outing with your dog - calling into a cafe that is set up for your dog to enjoy the experience as well as you and you can both get a snack before heading home.

Dog cafes - Japan

This link to a dog cafe didn't work when I first put it up. I have sorted out the problem so take a look. Japan would've been the one of the last places I would've expected to see a special place for dogs to hang out.

Check out this site about dogs cafes in Japan - it's not such a new idea! CLICK HERE

My Dog Cafe - dogs eating out

Melbourne's Fashionable Dog Cafe

This is Station Pier in Port Melbourne - To get to the cafe head for The Spirit of Tasmania and then make a right.

It's right on the edge of the sea and the view is stunning.

Your dogs can order from their own menu. There are these delights but also a dog biscuit snack if it doesn't seem the right time for a meal.

The breakfasts at the cafe are great for dog Mums and Dads and they serve some of the best muffins around.

There's sea everywhere but there's plenty of drinking water.

Dalmations dining at the cafe.

The seating is comfortable and at a good height.

This Pug enjoyed a snack stop

I hope you get the idea from the pictures!
This is a great place to eat if you like dog watching.
Does anyone know of any other cafes that focus on dogs and arrange their seating and menus so they have a good time?
16/08/2009 - Sadly this cafe appears to have closed - I enjoyed my visits there - see my new post on the cafe.
