Poodles from Stockholm

I want to introduce these delightful poodles from Stockholm in Sweden to the Australian dogs of Melbourne. The baby Mille is about nine weeks old and Sophie who is old enough to be a great-grandmother is eleven. Sophie is showing great patience and intense interest in Mille in these photos. But, I gather like all great-grandparents she can find the games and the energy of the young a bit trying..Welcome to my blog Sophie and Mille who are seen her with the son of their household, Christian.

I have been viewing this blog for months and although it is in Swedish the photos are so expressive I have come to know and love all the poodles in the family which include: Millie’s Mum Gucci, and Maggie. I also love the photos of flowers that are in their garden. These photos are posted - you need to scroll back to previous posts and be enchanted. CLICK HERE .

Lucy the Elegant Poodle

Lucy is a glamorous five year old standard poodle who lives in Wellington, New Zealand. Her ‘Mum’ sent me her pictures and wrote this about her.

“Lucy loves long walks up the steep Wellington hills. She has made a friend of Mack, the Cairn terrier (see my blog
Cairn Terrier Finds a New Home ) and they spend time playing together in the park.

She is always beautifully groomed. Even though she’s not keen on the idea she goes to the beautician regularly to keep her coat and nails trimmed.”

Lucy’s Mum says she is a great companion and that she is very intelligent.

"She loves to sleep on the large bed rather than her own bed and she moves the pillows around to suit where she wants to lay her head."
You can see how comfortable she is in the photo.

Like most poodles she’s very social and always attends her Mum’s parties and likes to personally greet the guests and keeps an eye on everyone.

How green are the New Zealand lawns compared with the dried-up Melbourne version?

The standard poodle is said to be very adaptable and their intelligence makes them easy to train. They can live very happily in an apartment block, suburban home or on a farm. They have a dense coat and generally they don’t shed.

If you are into poodles this maybe a site you would like to check out. There are some stunning photographs and as you scroll through you'll find that there are some wonderful shots of poodles.
