Herbie and his companion Leo sell The Big Issue around Melbourne. When I met them they were outside David Jones in Bourke Street. Their usual pitch is on the corner of Elizabeth and Collins Street. Leo is 6 years and four months old and they work the pitch together.
It was late afternoon and getting chilly and Leo was well wrapped up.
A Tenterfield Terrier is said to have originated in England. They are small rather like a miniature fox terrier. They are great hunters of rodents as well as making loving family pets. Unlike many dogs they can live to a ripe old age. They have a life span from between 12 and 20 years. So the friendly and delightful Leo has a number of years yet to be out there selling The Big Issue.

Oh my! Adorable, all rugged up in his winter attire! Love his little toy doggie :O)
Yes, Leo was well rugged up and I liked that he had his toy with him. It made his 'nest' look cosier and more comfortable.
The 17 of mai is the Norwegian constitution day. As we are Norwegians we celebrate the liberation from Sweden 103 years ago!
Big party all day for all generations.
